Una Announces Finalists For Vpaa/provost Position

FLORENCE, Ala. — Four finalists will visit campus over the next two weeks for final interviews for the position of vice president for academic affairs and provost at the ¹ú²úAV. Finalists include:

  • Dr. Charles E. Wilson Jr., vice provost for undergraduate studies and dean of University College at Old Dominion University. Wilson will visit campus Jan. 25-27.

  • Dr. John G. Thornell, vice president for academic affairs at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Thornell will visit campus Jan. 28-30.

  • Dr. William T. (Tom) Bogard, dean of academic affairs at York College of Pennsylvania. Bogart will visit campus Feb. 1-3.

  • Dr. Jeffery S. Elwell, dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication at East Carolina University. Elwell will visit campus Feb. 4-6.

Campus visits will include interviews with the search committee and key officials as well as an open forum with the university faculty and staff.

UNA's new vice president for academic affairs and provost will replace Dr. Garry Warren, who will retire in July.
