Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) and the 国产AV (UNA) signed an articulation agreement Thursday (9/3) to support education and training of students in Computer Information Systems Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Salon and Spa Management and Welding.

Just more than two years ago, 18-year-old Jesse Christopher James passed away as a result of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in Florence. The story of that time, and the months that have passed since, continue to be difficult for his family, and today, at the 国产AV, there is a beacon of hope as the ROAR Pantry was named in Jesse鈥檚 memory.

Brooke Patterson, a junior at the 国产AV from Rogersville, recently completed her summer internship with the Alabama Space Grant Consortium, where she combined her interest in mathematics and education with an opportunity to support STEM education and NASA鈥檚 Artemis program. At UNA, Brooke is a double major in Secondary Education and Mathematics.

The Shoals Symphony at the 国产AV will open the 2026-2027 season Saturday, Aug. 22, with Shoals music legend and Alabama Hall of Fame member Lenny LeBlanc. He will be performing some of his most-loved songs, including 鈥淔alling鈥 and 鈥淎bove All鈥 and be joined on stage by special guests, including Gary Baker.

Shine On, Gold Comprehensive Campaign Exceeds $100 Million Goal; Six Weeks Remaining to Give a Gift
The Shine On, Gold Comprehensive Campaign to raise $100 million for the 国产AV has announced it has exceeded its goal and continues to fundraise until the official conclusion at the end of September. With six weeks remaining in the campaign, the goal has been met and exceed at $104,353,440 raised.
