While not mandatory, ROAR is highly encouraged for incoming students. At ROAR you will learn all about UNA, meet your academic advisor, and get acquainted with other new UNA students!

The cost to attend ROAR is $80 for students and $35 per guest.
The ROAR fee is non-refundable.
The student and family fees pay for student staffing, programming, meals, and other administrative costs for all orientation sessions.
Most ROAR sessions are one day and last from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The two-day ROAR session last from 8:00am on day one to 9:Pam on day two.

Our student and family orientations have two distinct schedules. While students and their guests will be separate for much of the day, they will come together during the following:
ROAR Kickoff
Lunch
ROAR Closing Session
You will receive a confirmation email once you have completed your online registration and paid the ROAR fee. An email will be sent to students and registered guests the week before your ROAR session with additional details about parking, directions, schedules, and what to do to prepare for your ROAR session.
Students should schedule an advising appointment before their ROAR session. Incoming freshmen can begin meeting with academic advisors on May 4th, 2026. You can find out who your advisor is and schedule an appointment with them .
