Lion Alert is UNA’s mass notification system provided by RAVE Mobile Safety of Motorola comprised of email, voice, and text messaging that is designed to send emergency and time-sensitive messages to thousands of individuals in minutes.
Once you are assigned a UNA email address and password, your UNA email is automatically enrolled in Lion Alert for notifications. It is strongly recommended that you add additional voice and text numbers to receive alerts to your mobile device.
Voice and text messages can be delivered to your mobile phone only if you set up your account to receive them. Use the to login using your portal ID and password. Then, you will be able to add 3 each of the following:
- Mobile telephone numbers - to receive text messages.
- Voice Only phone numbers - to receive phone call/voice mail only.
- Email Addresses - for email alerts.
- Language Preferences – if you prefer to receive alerts in another language other than English, you can “edit” this option under your name profile.
- Lion Alert 360 App - We also recommend that you download the Lion Alert 360 App, so you can have emergency resources at your fingertips. And, make sure you to enable Push Notifications under the "About/Preferences" button to receive alerts through the app as well.
